Round 3 – Park Selection, Pick 10

Salomon categorizes the 2012 as a “big mountain freeski.” Which I found to be no exaggeration after it performed flawlessly in southern-exposed mank of the Jackson O.B. But it is just as keen as a park ski—as its reputation has become despite Salomon’s attempt to brand it differently. With a slight bit of twin rocker, full wood core and pulse pad (an elastomer layer along the edges for increased dampness and softer contact with the snow), the 2012 is fast, agile and poppy. An excellent board for anyone mostly riding hard snow and making frequent park laps, or for anyone else wanting a narrower and exceedingly fast ski.
