Skier's Choice Draft Picks
Derek Taylor
Round 2 – All-Mountain Selection, Pick 8
The 95mm- to 100mm-underfoot-width is ideal for all-mountain skiing. Modern powder boards like the S7 or Rocker 2 work pretty well on groomers, but you don’t need that much girth if you’re mostly skiing firm snow. And it wasn’t that long ago that 98mm underfoot was a fat ski. The S3 has a similar footprint to my go-to all-mountain ski for the past few years (4FRNT MSP), but with rocker integrated into the tip and tail to smooth things out on powder and chopped up days. The S3 features Rossi’s wood core sandwich construction.Other Draft Picks By Derek Taylor
