Round 2 – All-Mountain Selection, Pick 6
Kastle makes skis that are stiff, stable and fast. The 108s are a bit much for a day ripping around the local hill, but the smaller and lighter 104s are just right. An ash, poplar and silver fir sandwich construction and .3mm titanal top and base sheets make for some damp boards. Kastle developed the 104s with Chris Davenport (who is probably summiting a very tall mountain as you read this), which is a testament to their being able to charge, while remaining lightweight. In the absence of fresh snow, through bumps, trees, groomers and windbuff, the 104s, which have a traditional profile and no rocker, are fast and stable. Other Draft Picks By John Davies
