Skier's Choice Draft Picks

Round 4 – Dream Trip, Adventure skiing in Europe and Scandinavia, Pick 9
My dream trip would be a two- to three-month long exploration of unskied peaks in Europe and Scandinavia in search of steeps and deep snow. Believing in a brand that you skied on more than 20 years ago is one thing. But trying that brand with a new explosion of youth added to it is a whole other thing. The BMX (Big Mountain Extreme) 108 is a weapon of mass destruction. The perfect amount of early rise coupled with traditional (though slight) camber underfoot. Kastle’s beech and poplar wood core provides super stability at high speeds on either soft or hard snow. The 177cm length has a turning radius of 28m, so I feel right at home making my big girl turns on these gems. Don’t be mistaken; this ski is not soft. At all. But I love the way it nudges me out of a turn as soon as I think about transitioning edges.Other Draft Picks By A.J. Cargill
