Shane McConkey’s vision continues with the all-new Pon2oon. Designed with the same philosophy of slaying powder easier, faster and with less effort, the all-new Pon2oon is rockered in the tip and tail and features a redesigned powder tip and a non-twin-tip progressive powder tail. While the ski has similar pivot performance to its predecessor, it now comes with more predictable turn initiation and added braking power in the tail. The Pon2oon’s footprint gets proportionally wider as its length increases. A percentage of the Pon2oon ski sales will be given to Shane’s family.

Round 1 – Powder Selection, Pick 8

If you want to ski powder-laden big mountain faces really, really fast with the ability to shut it down on a dime whenever needed, get this ski. Compared to its predecessor, designed by Shane McConkey himself, the ride of the newly redesigned Pon2oon is slightly less unorthodox. The tip has narrowed (less resistance) and the tail beefed up (more width, less rocker), giving the ski effortless turn initiation and additional braking power. Overall, the Pon2oon has a more balanced, controlled feel. Furthermore, a percentage of each Pon2oon sold will be donated to Shane’s family. With that in mind, in addition to the improvements, having the Pon2oon underfoot on a deep pow day should be on your bucket list.

Round 1 – Powder Selection

This ski rules in the pow. The new stiffer tail and tip profile make it a must-have in the line up. You can go as fast as you want and land just about any air you throw at them, as long as you have your game face on. I skied this ski about 2cm forward from the midsole line and found that it skied a lot better and had just the right amount of tail. Some of most fun I've ever had on a pair of skis. You can do tight turns, jump turns and awesome giant powder turns with this ski. It also rules for doing the polish bagel maneuver!
