Round 2 – All-Mountain Selection, Pick 9
Because an all-mountain ski to me must perform on any given day of the season and on any run on the mountain, I choose a versatile ski with 92mm underfoot. The Heroine is a fun ski for riding inbounds, with traditional camber and a twin tip. I ski the 178cm, which was stiff enough, perfectly juicy, and gave me back every ounce of energy I put into it. I was going to go with the Faction 3.0 or the Fisher Watea 114, which are amazing skis but much wider. And I like to feel the carving action of a ski, not be skidding turns. So, with the traditional camber and a narrower waist, I felt the whole ski contact the snow. The psychedelic, trippy, rainbow-happy graphics of the Heroine caught my eye on first glance.Other Draft Picks By A.J. Cargill
