Skier's Choice Draft Picks

Round 4 – Dream Trip, Chamonix, France, Pick 14When I skied the Black Crows with Camille Jaccoux and Nathan Wallace and heard their enthusiasm about Chamonix, I knew that a visit there would be my dream trip. Couloirs, endless powder, 9,000-vertical-foot runs, hundreds of lifts of every description, mountainside huts, Swedish ski bunnies… What’s not to like? And what better ski to do it all on but the Corvus, a Chamonix design? They tested beautifully as all-mountain planks at Jackson, and I know the twin tips, sidecut, and wood core will serve me well in powder, crud, steeps, and narrow chutes in the French Alps.
|Description||To allow a wider range of skiers to benefit from the initial Black Crows Corvus 196 technology, it was necessary to adjust the ski in terms of construction, width and flex. With a slightly less raised tip for better rotation, an increased sidecut for a more compact ski and a lightweight wood core, the Corvus 185 meets our high standards of versatility and performance. For this 2012 edition, the flex has been even more refined on the front part of the ski. Freeride, piste, ski touring, telemark, these red Corvus are the skis that can do it all, whatever the conditions.|
|Features||Double radius shape • Light twin tip • Sandwich engineered wood core • 23m radius|
