Description

Rossignol’s new Experience 98 is a true “one-ski-quiver.” AutoTurn Rocker combines low tip and tail rocker with high traditional camber underfoot, resulting in powerful performance on and off-trail. Combined with 98mm waist and Titanal sandwich wood core construction, skiers get a damp, surprisingly versatile and easy-to-maneuver ski that excels in all conditions. Equally at home laying trenches down the corduroy, weaving through the trees or floating the deep, the Experience 98 is a new breed of all-mountain high performance skis.

Round 2 – All-Mountain Selection
The Experience 98 is a classic Rossignol ski. Fun, solid, and making a mark with smart design and a clean look, the Experience can ski coast to coast, from the hard pack in the East to the pow in Utah. With 98mm underfoot and "Turn Rocker,” the Experience rips on trail and lets the ski handle anything you can find. The “Turn Rocker” is designed to let the ski grip when you lay it over in a carve. Off trail, you have a playful all-mountain rockered ski that handles most conditions. I skied them at Canyons ripping top-to-bottom groomers, where they handled high speeds and could be turned as quick as I wanted in tighter terrain. A great everyday ski for an aggressive all-mountain skier who doesn’t want such a wide plank.
Round 2 – All-Mountain Selection
The new Experience is what I consider a true “all-mountain” tool. The ski has traditional camber and sidecut allowing you to rip groomers and carve almost as if you were on a slalom ski. The benefits of these traditional aspects should not be forgotten. On the other hand, the early rise tip of the Experience is what allows you to take it anywhere. It floats well, and motors through crud. I also like its flat tail for stability and power. Some of the skis in this category have incorporated too much rocker, causing them to wash out when finishing a turn. This ski could fill a quiver by itself.
