Round 2 – All-Mountain Selection

With lower early rise and a narrower waist (108mm) in the newest model of the Sir Francis Bacon, in my opinion, it’s better than any previous model. Line, along with Eric Pollard, has completely redone this ski. Being narrower, it’s really versatile and while it still has plenty of girth for the powder and crud, it is still incredibly nimble in the trees and bumps. At both high and low speeds, the ski is predictable and forgiving. If you truly want to shred the whole mountain, you should give this ski a try. And, who doesn’t like Bacon?

Round 3 – Park Selection

I always look for a ski that is playful and easy when I ski terrain parks. The Bacon’s buttery feel gives you a sense of comfort when you are initiating or landing a spin, and a lighter tip and tail reduces swing weight. The 108mm waist is plenty of surface area to stomp any landing, and even though it is narrower, it floats just as good as its predecessor. It also has a symmetrical sidecut, which makes it fun to ski switch.
