Description
With carbon fiber shaving its weight to 3180g/ pair for a 27.5, the Eric Hjorleifson-designed Vulcan might be the future. Though I’ve always had trouble fitting into Dynafit’s historically narrow fit, they widened this boot to accommodate an actual “mountain man.” The carbon feels as stiff as my Salomon Ghosts. Placing the instep buckle in line with the ankle pivot is an absolute winner, making the boot tighter and stiffer with each buckle adjustment. loose for the ascent thanks to its generous 60-degree cuff rotation on the walk mode, and tight for the descent—it’s awesome. - Captain Benny Wilson
