When looking for a powder ski you have to take a few things into consideration. You need a ski that floats, something you can ski all day in fresh and chopped powder. Most importantly, you need a ski that is fun and begs you for another run. That ski for me is the Salomon Rocker2 122. With a wood core and twin rocker construction, it is a playful powder crusher. The Honeycomb construction in the tip and tail stays light where you need it and keeps a solid feel underfoot. The honeycomb’s deduction in weight with its 122mm-wide footprint lets you ride it all day without getting beat up by your skis. The playful wood core wants to pop out of every turn and rebound into the next. They have plenty of sidecut for the groomers and traverses as well.
