Scarpa Mobe

The Mobe is Scarpa’s most aggressive four- buckle touring boot, and will relieve fears of those who still think touring boots are too soft. Despite a straightforward design and a light (3600g/pair) feel, the Mobe is stiff with an equal amount of lateral support. It offers an adjustable forward lean up to 22 degrees and canting adjustment. It did not have the greatest heel-hold compared to my Langes, and the tongue gets caught up in the buckles when getting the boot on and off. For Scarpa fans with DIN bindings, try the Hurricane, which is more or less the Mobe without tech fittings. - Ryan Dunfee
