The ultra-snug, powerful four-buckle Factor 130 is one of the stiffest boots with a walk/ski mode. At 4220g/pair, they’re heavy, but the Factors are still comfortable to hike in. They have a 20-degree cuff range in walk/ski mode and newly designed, warm, and cozy Power Fit liners. But the Factors are more about the down than the up. And since I can click in to my Dynafits by inserting tech sole blocks, I’m saving weight on my bindings, anyway. -John Clary Davies
