Round 5 – Boot Selection, AT/Sidecountry/Telemark, Pick 11
Garmont has been attacking the sidecountry market since 2004, and the Delirium represents its best effort yet at helping skiers plunder both sides of the rope. The Delirium is not what you want for long tours (each boot weighs around five pounds, in a size 27.5), but is ideal for quick hits off the pass or out of bounds, with tech and alpine soles that swap out easily. The rockered Vibram tech sole is the best in its class, and provides excellent footing for rocky scrambles. The wide toe makes it easy to fit, and the EZFit liner is comfortable and heat-moldable. Like a lot of boots in this category, the flex feels softer than the listed 130.Other Draft Picks By David Reddick
