Skier's Choice Draft Picks

Round 5 – Boot Selection, Resort Choice, Pick 13
For a hard-charging big-mountain boot that also works up the bootpack and on rocky ridgelines, it’s hard to find anything like the Tracker 130. Built around a 98mm last and Atomic’s burly Enduro Chassis, the Tracker is all that anyone but a World Cupper will need for skiing big mountains in any condition. It’s definitely not an AT boot, as it’s geared more toward performance on the descent. But the walk mode, called Power Control Release, means that it doesn’t work against you on a climb, and a grippy rubber sole ensures confidence on sketchy scrambles. If you have the extra coin and spend lots of time in your boots, throw down for the version with the Intution liner. Your feet will thank you.Other Draft Picks By Matt Hansen
Additional Information
| Description | With a new, 98mm-lasted Enduro Chassis, the Tracker 130 is the premier backcountry boot from Atomic. Simply by lifting the Power Control Release lever the Tracker can switch from a technical, high-performance alpine boot to an uphill machine. It’s Ridge Walker Sole with 2K rubber interfaces and mid-sole guarantees you’ll stick like glue to rocky ledges and helicopter/snowmobile skids. For a lighter, warmer, custom fit, the Tracker 130 is available with an Intuition liner ($879). |
