Skier's Choice Draft Picks

Round 6 – Binding Selection, Pick 12
I have always trusted Salomon as my binding of choice with their driver design. They make a no-nonsense, solid binding. The STH 16 weighs less than its Steel bretheren (still burly without added metal) and has a wide footprint for increased leverage on wider skis, as well as a four-contact point pivoting toe piece for efficient release when necessary. Round 6 – Binding Selection
If it works, no need to fix it. Salomon thought the same thing when they brought the toe into the 14 DIN and 12 DIN models. It grips and rips. You have pay attention to your gear by adjusting toe height and width on a regular basis, because that keeps a better interface and less friction and wear and tear over time. I don’t need a 16 DIN but that toe makes me feel like a hero cranked to 16! Confidence is the key to a good binding, and I have nothing but confidence in Salomon’s driver toe.Other Draft Picks By Mike Trioli
