Round 6 – Binding Selection, Pick 7
I grew up on race bindings and I still love them. The metal construction and beefier springs of a 20 DIN allow me to set my binding at a mid range of 12-15. That way I get the full elasticity of the mechanism that says to my boot: “You want out or you want in, good buddy?” The energy is absorbed better if the setting is in the middle of the range. The Marker Comp is a full-on World Cup binding (19mm standheight, biometric toe system and stainless steel anti-friction device), which means that I can go 80 mph and only worry about whether or not I have a long enough runout.Other Draft Picks By Benny Wilson
